Ching-Yao Shi, Dipl. OM; Lic./Reg. Acupuncturist

Ching-Yao Shi is the medical director of Acupuncture Medical Practice, She is a National Certified OM in the United States and Pennsylvania licensed acupuncturist.

Ching-Yao earned her master degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Institute of Acupuncture, Academy of TCM, Beijing, and a medical doctor (MD) in western medicine from Bethune University Medical School, China. She has 18 years of hospital experience.

Some of her career highlights include combining Eastern and Western medicine together, introducing acupuncture and Chinese medicine to the main stream of medicine in U.S.A.. Ching-Yao Shi was the first person who developed the Oriental medicine treatment for Interstitial Cystitis in the United States. The publication “Chinese Herbal Medicine for The Treatment of IC” has become one of the standard patient educational materials of National ICA.

Ching-Yao Shi is a former Commissioner of National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) (2000-2004). She is currently serving as an adjunct professor for the first state approved acupuncture school of PA. Ching-Yao was also the Acupuncture Director in Department of Urology at the Graduate Hospital, Philadelphia for 9 years.

Ching-yao Shi Lic.Acu. is a certified NAET practitioner. She is an active member of the NAET Society, and she had been directly trained by Dr. Devi Nambudripad.

 

Nancy R. Radice, Dipl. OM, Lic./Reg. Acupuncturist

Nancy has earned a Masters Degree of Oriental Medicine from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, NM where she received a strong foundation in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Prior to this training, she studied three years of Chinese and Japanese body therapies and earned a degree in Shiatsu massage from the Meridian Shiatsu Institute in Wayne, PA in 1998.

Her clinical experience includes 2 years at the IICM Santa Fe Community Clinic and six months at St.Vincent’s hospital rehabilitation department before returning to Philadelphia where she took the position of acupuncturist at Collaborative Care of Abington. She then also joined Acupuncture Medical practice in December of 2004.

Her specialties include pain syndromes (headache, arthritis, back/neck pain, IBS etc.), allergy elimination treatment for adults & children, mental and emotional disorders (anxiety, insomnia, addictions), gynecological disorders and weight loss management.

Nancy is Nationally Board Certified in Oriental Medicine and PA state licensed in acupuncture, and is also a certified NAET practitioner. She uses a gentle approach to healing and extends a warmth and safety for you to release unwanted tensions and experience better harmony in the body, mind and spirit so that your path to health can become easier and brighter.

 

Eva Zeller, Lic./Reg. Acupuncturist

After graduating with honors from Bryn Mawr College, Eva went on to earn a Masters Degree in acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine in 2001, and traveled to Japan for further coursework at Morinomiya College of Acupuncture and Moxibustion.

Before joining Acupuncture Medical Practice, Eva's clinical experience included several years as the resident acupuncturist at a medical massage therapy office, where she specialized in the treatment of frozen shoulder and sciatica.

Eva has received special training in the treatment of acute and chronic myofascial pain resulting from traumatic injury or overuse, emotional and stress-related disorders (anxiety, depression, insomnia), facial diagnosis and rejuvenation, and smoking cessation. Additionally, she is an ACSM-trained Wellness Coach and an experienced Yoga instructor. Her patients have praised her gentle technique and calming presence as well as her practical and supportive attitude toward the pursuit of better health.
